Remaining Hours
Weekly Hours/Commitment
My Breads & Spreads Seminar met hourly on Mondays from 12:50-1:50 pm for the tasting and demonstrations, but the process of actually making everything for the seminar usually took around 4-5 hours.
Basketball would happen on Fridays from 9-11 am before class meeting at 11:30
The time for the reading group varied, but we would meet for an hour usually. between 1:45 and 3:20
For my remaining hours, I had three activities that I attended. One of the activities was a BB&N-led seminar, "Breads & Spreads". We, as a group, would meet weekly on Mondays, and Dr. Mattern and Dr. Cyr would give us a recipe for bread and a complimentary item to bake for the next meeting, where we would all taste what other people have made. Another activity I attended was a reading analysis group run by Mr. Dei. At the beginning of SSP, Mr. Dei picked the novel "Born a Crime", and we would asynchronously read it, and meet every Friday to discuss themes within the book and how it related to us or just life in general. And my last activity for my remaining hours was recreational basketball at the NAC, also sponsored by Mr. Dei. Every Friday morning, we would play basketball, usually in teams of 2 to 3.
